Raksha Bandhan or Rakhi Purnima is a
very pious festival celebrated in India on full Moon day of August normally of
every year. This is the festival for every brother & sister to celebrate in
India among Hindus particularly.
Here are the four unique stories on
how Rakhi appeared and the celebration Raksha Bandhan:
1) The birthplace of Raksha Bandhan
originates from the old occasions when Indrani attached a string given to her
by Lord Vishnu around her better half Lord Indra's wrist to shield him from
devils amid the war between the Gods and evil presences.
2)The most critical story of the
devotion of a sibling's guarantee is that of Emperor Humayun who went with his
troops to Mewar when Rani Karnavati, who controlled the area at that point,
requested his assistance. Mewar had been assaulted twice by Bahadur Shah and as
a beam of expectation she sent a letter to Humayun with a rakhi requesting his
assistance. The ruler who was between a military battles at that point left
everything to proceed to secure her.
3) Another story has it that Rakhi
spared Alexander the Great's life. When he had attacked India, his better half
Roxana had sent a 'rakhi' to the Katoch King Porus and he had promised to
ensure her and her significant other. Along these lines, on the front line when
he was going to murder Alexander he saw the rakhi and shunned slaughtering him.
4) The promise of protection was found
in the Mahabharata as well. It is trusted that once Lord Krishna cut his finger
and was draining lavishly. Seeing this, Draupadi tore a piece of her sari and
tied it around his finger. This is accepted to be the reason behind why he
spared her amid her cheerharan by Kaurava.
